I can't get HP or google chrome to let me voice chat

an someone please help? On mu samsung It reconiges my voiice. On my Laptop Pavillion g6, it goes red I say Hello!!!

and nothing just a red figure

I would be so thank.  I am  problems with my hands it wwould be a blessing.
