I upgraded to win8 but was having some trouble with it. Therefore, I decided to downgrade to win7 ultimate. My laptop hasn't been the same since. I know that most of it is due to lack of drivers, which I have mostly installed. However, my sound keeps giving me problems. The problem is this: I plug in my speakers, I unplug them later (at this point sound still works on laptop), and then the next time i try to turn on my laptop the sound is gone. I HAVE to reinstall the driver and restart the computer everytime or it won't work. It's like the driver for sound keeps uninstalling, which I don't think it does because when I reinstall it it mentions that the files already exist in the computer. I have a dv7-6b55dx. If more info is needed please let me know.
P.S. Is it just better to send it in to HP? How much would it cost if I do (no warranty)?
