I have an HP Pavilion dv4-1220us laptop. Lately, I have been having a series of sound troubles. My mute button, on the touch-sensitive strip, was stuck in the "off" position. My sound icon showed that my computer wasn't muted, but no sound came out. I went to www.hp.com and clicked on "download drivers" under "support". I uninstalled, and then reinstalled IDT High-Definition Audio CODEC Driver. It fixed the problem, but took away sound from my right speaker. I also don't have any sound from my right headphone. Is there any way to fix the problem without shipping it out to hp?
