Sound stopped working suddenly. Looked under Sound in Control Panel and the only devices were the HP Wireless Audio Adapter Speakers. I've tried downloading sp56900, the IDT HD Driver, but halfway through the installation, the program says that the hardware detected is not supported by this package and aborts. I've tried installing the IDT HD Audio Driver from HP Recovery Manager, restarted, and two more devices appeared, but disabled: two Digital Audio (HDMI). Most solutions I've searched for involve uninstalling the IDT driver via Device Manager. Unfortunatly, the only devices that appeared were the CyberLink WebCam Virtual Driver and HP Wireless Audio Adapter. After installing the IDT HD Audio Driver via HP Recovery Manager, a High Definition Audio Device appeared. Under DxDiag Sound tab, it says no sound card was found. If I try to troubleshoot via Windows, it simply enables the HP Wireless Audio device and says the problem is fixed, when it obviously isn't.
On Spotify, when trying to play music, it says, "There is a problem with your sound card"
Help?!?!
