I love my Envy dv6 laptop, it works great!
But there has been one problem that has been bugging me for months
There are some games that will not play sound... at all. Everything else functioned perfectly in those games but the sound was not playing.
Games that do play sound:
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Far Cry 3
Assassin's creed
Batman: Arkham City GOTY edition
Games that don't work
Borderlands
Bioshock 2
Mount and Blade: Warband
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
It is also worth mentioning that any audio record device does not work as well. They are not even recognized by the recording devices menu.
I have tried updating the drivers and disabling and re-enabling the audio drivers.
