I'm running an Envy Touchsmart 15-jc17tTX. Was new in October 2013. In the last week or two, the audio has developed a problem where it skips and pops every few seconds. (Through headphones as well as speakers).
I've looked through various forums and realised that this is a known issue for some HP notebooks, but the means for resolving it varies - it seems to be a software issue not a hardware issue.
I've tried numerous solutions such as disabling the exclusive mode in speaker properties and choosing the highest quality sound playback options, without success. There's some thought that it might be related to the wireless or battery system.
Any ideas?
